Is there a way to change the unit of measure in the program? The tree height, flame length and rate of spread are all in meters which means there will need to be a conversion table on every page of the report that would be included in a burn plan.

Just to update this string, as of February fire behavior Map Studio layers and summary reports are in English Units.
Landscape stand height, canopy base height and bulk density are in metric.
GeoTiff export rasters for Landscapes and for Fire Behavior are both in metric units.
If there is interest in having these in US standard as well, please feel free to voice that here.
Hi Tim, I've only been able to produce results for these values in metric units. I'll do some checking with others and re-post here if I find otherwise, but it's likely those are limited to metric outputs currenly.

As of now we are limited to Metric but do hope to integrate US Standard in the future.

It would be a good idea to also include US standard measurements as well as metric.

Not sure if this thread is still being monitored after 8 years, but figured it was worth a shot:
Is there any way to integrate a conversion feature in to the landscape results? It would be cool to switch between English and metric units.
My real reason for getting on the forum though is to ask if there is any way to do the same for slope? I'm not really aware of anywhere in US wildland fire agencies/management where degrees is used as a common measurement. Percentage is used for map measurements, BEHAVE inputs, etc. Converting from degrees to percent slope is honestly really annoying. It's a whole reclass debacle with rasters in Arc. Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out about the need to be able to toggle units in IFTDSS for slope, elevation, and CBD. We've logged this request and I asked the rest of team about it this morning. While we don't have a timeline for it, this feature is on the developer's list of enhancements. We understand how useful this would be, as currently to make those conversions a file would have to be downloaded from IFTDSS and the conversions made in a GIS, like Arc Pro using Raster Calculator.
In addition to the planned enhancements, the last few years have seen a lot of updates needed on the framework IFTDSS is built on. While those have been necessary to keep the system running, the downside has been a longer delay in planning for enhancement like this one.
We'll post here when this enhancement has an expected timeline to be included in IFTDSS.
