Thank you for the comment. Yes, you are correct about the 2016 data limit on RAWS. This is something we have high on our list to remedy. When the Auto 97th function was built we were using WIMS and the "old school" way of getting observations. Since WIMS has been retired and transitioned to FEMS we are waiting to build a connection to FEMS so we are current with technology. There has been a much longer gap on making this happen than we would like. We do recommend building your own percentile data set with your desired RAWS and using those as inputs for fire behavior calculations. We are hopeful to be able to get this feature updated as soon as staffing and the budget allow. Thank you for your patience, its a great question.

I have noticed RAWS data is only available through 2016 on most or all of the RAWS stations through IFTDSS. I think I also saw this mentioned in the help guide. I know I can pull the last ten years of data elsewhere and do my own 97th percentile calculations and then input that for my landscape fire behavior runs, but I am just wondering the reasoning behind the data range?
